How is a Verbal Voucher ™ like a carbon credit or carbon offset?
A Verbal Voucher ™ is used in a manner similar to a carbon credit. There are many claims about man-made climate change and how carbon credit schemes give individuals and businesses a way to participate in solving the much debated and disputed anthropogenic global warming crisis.
However, we acknowledge the debate is over about the Information Change Crisis and the tyranny caused by the growing amount of info in the world. There is no doubt; people (most likely those evil, liberty-loving, free-market capitalists) are the sole cause of the glut of words in both the spoken and written form.
We believe something must be done now before it is too late to help alleviate this word emission problem infesting the global information eco-system. Calculations by well respected etymologists show we have less than ten (10) years to save the world from total word-information overload. It is time to "Reclaim the Words!"
Therefore, after many months of research Verbal Voucher™, an oratory offset was developed as a way for individuals and businesses, such as those in the main stream media (TV networks, newspapers, magazines) as well as the alternative media (internet and radio) to procure word offsets or reduction credits to help mitigate the growth of useless words (UW), unhelpful information (UHI) such as Air America or Algore speeches, or offensive information (OI) such as Real Time or The Daily Show.
One Verbal Voucher™ is equal to one word ton (hour) of information or in some markets - verbal equivalent hours (VEHs).
These word offsets are available to people and companies who are
interested in voluntarily lowering their verbal mouth/footprint. Vouchers may have been purchased originally from individuals, businesses or investment fund companies who claim to have aggregated the credits from individual word reduction or information system simplification projects.
The intent is to drive the information market in the direction of lower word emissions without intrusion by governments through such programs as the un-Fairness Doctrine or Cork and Swap (aka Cap & Trade or Crap and Tax).
